Who Is This Service For?
This service is designed for divorcing or divorced couples, and those ending a civil partnership, who have already reached an agreement about their finances.
It prepares an agreed financial arrangement. It is not a service for resolving a financial dispute between the parties.
The service can accommodate
- Combined assets up to £2 million
- Up to three properties
- Financially dependent children
- Business interests
- Pension sharing arrangements
Unlike many other providers, our fixed price includes arrangements involving multiple properties and pension sharing. We won't charge you extra simply because you have two properties or want to share a pension. It's already included.
Larger or more complex finances?
If your combined assets exceed £2 million or you have more than three properties, please contact us before ordering at support@exdlegalservices.co.uk.
How It Works
Step 1: Place Your Order
Select Standard Consent Order and complete your secure payment. After purchase, you will receive a secure online questionnaire to provide your financial details and agreed arrangements.
Step 2: We Prepare Your Documents
Once we have received your completed questionnaire, an experienced SRA-regulated solicitor prepares your bespoke Consent Order and supporting court documents within six weeks.
Step 3: Review, Sign and Submit
Review and sign your completed documents, then submit them to the court yourself or choose our Fully Managed Service.

- Pre-submission quality check by our experienced team
- Electronic or paper document signing
- Communicating with HMCTS on the applicant’s behalf
- Further information, documents, statements or amendments requested by the court, prepared at no extra cost

This is not legal representation in court proceedings.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Consent Order?
A Consent Order is a legal document that records the financial agreement you and your former spouse or civil partner have reached. Once approved by a judge, it becomes legally binding and can protect you from future financial claims, depending on its terms.
Can I apply for a Consent Order before my divorce is final?
Yes. You can apply to the court once the conditional order (previously called the decree nisi) has been granted. You do not need to wait for the final order. The Consent Order only takes effect once the final order has been made.
Is the D81 Statement of Information included?
Yes. We prepare a fully completed D81 Statement of Information as part of the service, alongside your Consent Order and Form A.
Can the order include pension sharing?
Yes. Pension sharing arrangements are included in the Standard Consent Order service. Where pension sharing is required, we also prepare the Pension Sharing Annex.
Can the order include property and business assets?
Yes. The service can accommodate up to three properties, business interests and combined assets up to £2 million. If your assets exceed £2 million or you have more than three properties, please contact us before ordering.
Do both parties need to agree?
Yes. A Consent Order records an agreement that both parties have already reached, and both must sign the documents. This service prepares an agreed financial arrangement; it is not a service for resolving a financial dispute.
Can I submit the documents myself?
Yes. Once both parties have signed, you can submit the application to the court yourself. Alternatively, you can add our optional Fully Managed Service for £129. We submit and manage your application through the court process on your behalf, including a pre-submission quality check, electronic or paper signing and communicating with HMCTS on the applicant’s behalf. If the court requests further information, documents, statements or amendments, we prepare everything required at no extra cost, with a named point of contact throughout.
What happens if the judge requests further information?
The judge may ask for further information or for changes to the order before approving it. If you have chosen the Fully Managed Service, our solicitors and support team prepare any further information, documents, statements or amendments the court requests at no extra cost. Otherwise, you will need to respond to the court yourself. Court approval is at the judge’s discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
